RM participated in this initiative as part of Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs’ “Thank You to Uniformed Personnel Campaign”. The donation will be used to honor and support the welfare of veterans, uniformed personnel and their families.
On September 12th, RM expressed his thoughts through his agency BigHit Music, “I have recently witnessed the dedication of many individuals in the field who have served the country. I hope this small contribution can help all the heroes currently dedicating themselves to the nation and those who have worked for peace. I also want to sincerely thank ARMY (fandom name), who always shower me with love and support.”
RM has consistently engaged in charitable activities to commemorate his birthday. Last year, he contributed to the Korean Society For Legal Medicine, emphasizing the importance of expert training. In 2021 and 2022, he donated to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation, supporting efforts to restore and preserve cultural heritage. Additionally, since 2023, RM has been serving as an ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’s Remains Recovery and Identification Team, actively promoting the recovery of remains.
BTS as a group is also known for their philanthropic actions. Since 2017, they have been running the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign with BigHit Music, spreading the message of self-love and anti-violence. Their official fan club, ARMY, has also consistently participated in charitable activities, supporting underprivileged children and teenagers, creating a positive cycle of giving.
The “Thank You to Uniformed Personnel Campaign” aims to promote a culture of respect and gratitude for uniformed personnel. This year’s key message, “Another National Representative That Korea Should Support”, encourages people to appreciate and cheer for those who serve the country with the Korean flag on their uniforms.
